The Old Germans in Charleston/South Carolina

 

In the 18th century many German people immigrated to America. They hoped for a better life in the „New world“ then in Europe.

  

Some German families settled in South Carolina. They were called the „Old Germans“ in Charleston and South Carolina.

  

Well known other than Horlbeck family are also the Siegling family and the Schnierle family.
